I am an experienced BACP-registered psychotherapist offering a safe and private space for you to focus on yourself. Psychotherapy can be extremely beneficial and enhance your quality of life.
Maybe you feel stuck and are not happy or satisfied with the way things are going for you. You may be struggling at work, having difficulty in your relationships with family or partners, wrestling with uncomfortable thoughts, distressing feelings and/or unhelpful behaviours.
Whatever your situation, I am interested in your experiences and keen to work collaboratively with you to find your own pathway forward. I will give you my full attention and listen with empathy and without judgement or prejudice.
I am an integrative psychotherapist, which means I have studied different types of therapy and can draw on these to tailor my therapeutic support to your individual preferences and needs. I mainly integrate CBT, psychodynamic, narrative and solution-focussed approaches in my therapeutic work. These approaches are effective in a wide-range of mental health problems. I offer short or long term psychotherapy according to what you feel would be best for you.
As well as private practice I work part-time for the NHS as part of a prison-based IAPT service dealing with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, emotional control problems, personality disorder, severe mental illness, addictions, self-harming, suicidal ideation and trauma. I also currently work part-time as a school counsellor, supporting children struggling with emotional and behavioural difficulties. I have previously worked in social care services with vulnerable young people and their carers.
