Skin Boosters

Skin Boosters & Polynucleotides in West Wickham & Bromley

Doctor-delivered injectable skin rejuvenation

Skin Remodelling & Deep Hydration

Administered exclusively by our experienced aesthetic doctors, our advanced injectable skin boosters stimulate new collagen and elastin to restore natural firmness and radiance—without adding artificial volume.

  • Intense Deep Hydration: Infuses the dermal layers with high-grade hyaluronic acid to smooth fine lines and restore a healthy glow.
  • Collagen & Elastin Stimulation: Bio-remodels tired skin to improve natural elasticity, firmness, and tone.
  • Cellular Repair & Brightening: Polynucleotides and regenerative bio-stimulators repair delicate tissue, including the under-eye area.

While traditional topical creams only hydrate the outer surface, injectable skin treatments deliver bio-active ingredients directly into the dermis to stimulate cellular renewal, restore elasticity, and dramatically improve skin quality from within.

The Science of Injectable Rejuvenation

  • Hyaluronic Acid Bio-Remodelling (Skin Boosters): Ultra-pure hyaluronic acid is placed into the superficial dermis via precise micro-injections. Rather than simply filling space, it acts as an internal hydrator and bio-stimulator, drawing in moisture and triggering the production of four different types of collagen and elastin to firm and smooth lax tissue.
  • Cellular Regeneration (Polynucleotides): Polynucleotides are purified DNA fragments that work at a genetic and cellular level. They stimulate fibroblast activity, boost microcirculation, neutralise free radicals, and prompt genuine tissue repair—making them exceptionally effective for crepey, thinning skin and delicate areas like under-eye hollows.

Key Clinical Benefits:

  • Intense Deep-Tissue Hydration: Restores long-lasting moisture and a luminous, dewy complexion.
  • Improved Firmness & Elasticity: Counteracts skin laxity and tightens crepey texture without adding unnatural volume.
  • Smoothing Fine Lines: Softens early signs of ageing, sleep creases, and micro-lines.
  • Natural Results: Enhances your natural features without altering facial shape, contours, or expressions.

Common Treatment Areas:

  • Face & Cheeks: Replaces dullness with plumpness, smoothness, and refined skin texture.
  • Under-Eye Area & Periorbital Zone: Brightens dark circles, reduces fine crepey lines, and thickens delicate skin.
  • Neck & Décolletage: Treats “tech-neck” lines, sun damage, and age-related tissue thinning.
  • Hands: Restores hydration and elasticity to the backs of ageing hands.

Every skin type and concern requires a tailored approach. Our aesthetic doctors offer a carefully curated selection of premium, clinically proven injectables, selecting the optimal formulation based on your skin laxity, texture goals, and target treatment areas.

Our Specialist Injectable Range

  • Profhilo® (Bio-Remodelling & Firmness): Featuring one of the highest concentrations of pure hyaluronic acid on the market, Profhilo spreads seamlessly beneath the skin to treat overall laxity, crepey texture, and dullness across the full face, neck, or hands.
  • SkinVive™ by Juvéderm (Micro-Droplet Hydration & Glow): An FDA-approved injectable hyaluronic acid micro-droplet treatment designed specifically to smooth cheek texture, boost internal moisture retention, and impart a radiant, long-lasting glow for up to 9 months.
  • Plinest® & Plinest Eyes (Polynucleotide Cellular Repair): Highly purified, natural DNA-derived polymers that signal cells to regenerate and repair. Plinest is exceptionally effective for sensitive areas, particularly for smoothing fine lines, improving microcirculation, and brightening dark circles around the delicate eye zone.
  • Sculptra® (Deep Collagen Biostimulation): Formulated with Poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), Sculptra works within the deep dermis to gradually stimulate your body’s own natural collagen production, restoring lost structural support and firming mature skin over time.

Personalised Treatment Planning:

  • Not sure which treatment aligns with your goals? During your initial consultation, we perform a thorough skin analysis to recommend the single therapy or combined protocol best suited to your needs.

While both treatments utilise hyaluronic acid, skin boosters and dermal fillers are designed for entirely different clinical purposes. Understanding this distinction ensures you achieve your aesthetic goals with natural, undetectable results.

Key Differences at a Glance

  • Primary Objective: Dermal fillers are engineered to add volume, sculpt contours (such as lips, cheeks, or jawlines), and fill deep static folds. Skin boosters focus strictly on skin quality—deep cellular hydration, elasticity, firmness, and radiance without altering facial structure.
  • Gel Texture & Placement: Fillers use thicker, highly cross-linked hyaluronic acid gel placed in deeper tissue layers to hold structural shape. Skin boosters use lightweight, fluid, or bio-remodelling formulations that disperse evenly through the superficial dermis.
  • Visual Outcome: Fillers change the shape, projection, or fullness of specific features. Skin boosters leave your facial anatomy completely unchanged, delivering an overall refreshed, healthy, and luminous complexion.

Can They Be Used Together?

  • Skin boosters and dermal fillers complement each other well.
  • Many patients combine treatments to restore lost mid-face volume with targeted dermal fillers while simultaneously improving overall skin texture, crepeyness, and glow with skin boosters or polynucleotides.

All skin booster and polynucleotide treatments at The Artemis Clinic are performed exclusively by experienced aesthetic doctors within our sterile, CQC-registered clinical environment, ensuring the highest standards of safety, precision, and patient care.

What to Expect During Your Treatment:

  • Clinical Assessment: Your doctor begins with a comprehensive skin evaluation, discussing your specific aesthetic goals and precisely marking target anatomical injection points.
  • Comfort & Anaesthesia: A topical numbing cream can be applied beforehand to maximize your comfort. The injections are performed using ultra-fine micro-needles or blunt-tip micro-cannulas, making the procedure quick and easily tolerated.
  • Procedure Time: The actual injection process typically takes just 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the treatment area.

Recovery & Downtime:

  • Immediate Appearance: Small, localized raised bumps (similar to tiny insect bites) may appear at the injection sites. These represent concentrated deposits of product and typically disperse naturally within 24 to 48 hours as the formulation integrates into the tissue.
  • Mild Redness & Bruising: Minor localized redness or pinpoint bruising may occur around injection points, which can be easily concealed with mineral makeup after 24 hours.
  • No Extended Downtime: You can return to normal daily work and light activities immediately following your appointment.

Key Post-Treatment Advice (First 24–48 Hours):

  • Avoid touching the treated areas or applying heavy makeup for 12 hours.
  • Refrain from strenuous exercise, saunas, steam rooms, and alcohol for 24 to 48 hours to minimize swelling.
  • Avoid active skincare acids (retinoids, AHAs/BHAs) for 48 hours.
  • Apply a broad-spectrum daily SPF to protect your regenerating skin cells.

Our doctor-led clinic provides skin booster treatments in West Wickham, conveniently located for patients across Beckenham, Bromley, and surrounding areas.

Injectable aesthetic treatments are medical procedures. Choosing an accredited clinic and an experienced medical doctor ensures you achieve natural, long-lasting outcomes while safeguarding your health and clinical safety.

Can I discuss my options with a doctor before committing to treatment?

Yes. We offer free consultations with our aesthetic doctors. This allows you to discuss your aesthetic concerns, understand realistic expectations, and receive a bespoke clinical treatment plan with no obligation to proceed.

Who performs the injections at The Artemis Clinic?

All injectable treatments are delivered exclusively by our experienced doctors, led by Mr Spencer Hodges, a renowned Consultant Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon, alongside Dr Hannah, our specialist aesthetic doctor. Having a consultant led aesthetic service at the clinic ensures our patients receive unmatched anatomical expertise, clinical precision, and the highest standards of medical safety.

What products and brands do you use?

We exclusively use premium, rigorously tested, and MHRA/CE/FDA-cleared products with proven long-term safety profiles—including Profhilo®, SkinVive™ by Juvéderm, Plinest® Polynucleotides, and Sculptra®. We never use unlicensed, generic, or low-grade alternatives.

How long do the results last, and what happens when they wear off?

Depending on the treatment and individual metabolism, results typically last between 6 and 12 months (or up to 2 years for Sculptra®). Over time, the injected hyaluronic acid or polynucleotide chains are naturally and harmlessly broken down by your body’s enzymatic pathways without leaving any residue. If maintenance treatments are not continued, your skin will simply return to its baseline state.

What clinical standards can I expect?

All treatments are performed in our CQC-registered clinical environment adhering to sterile surgical protocols, strict prescription medicine regulations, and full professional indemnity cover.
