  • We do not over treat our clients, most are discharged in five sessions or less.
  • We are recognised by all the major private health insurance companies.
  • If required, we will arrange onward referrals to a trusted network of consultants.
  • If required, we will arrange referrals for cost-effective private imaging services.

Our physiotherapists are experienced in the treatment of the following –

  • Neck pain
  • Back pain
  • Sciatica
  • Ankle sprains
  • Sports injuries
  • Disc bulge
  • Spinal degeneration
  • Shoulder pain
  • Tennis/golfers elbow
  • Knee pain
  • Shin splints
  • Posture issues
  • Neuralgia
  • Muscle strain
  • Arthritis
  • Degenerative disc disease

The initial assessment is where we gather a detailed history from you about the complaint and start to develop an idea of what structures may be causing the problem. This is followed by a physical examination which would typically test movement, strength, balance, posture, joint mobility and soft tissue integrity.

These tests enable us to develop a working clinical diagnosis. Once that has been ascertained, a treatment plan will be discussed which will incorporate any functional goals you may have. The initial consultation always includes treatment.

As a a manual therapy clinic, we do not just prescribe exercises and choose the most comfortable treatment methods to help our clients get better.

If imaging or a consultant referral is required, the client will be referred to the appropriate service or specialist. There is no additional charge for referrals or correspondence with medical professionals regarding our client’s care.

Treatment methods are proposed and discussed with clients before each session. Often a combination of the following techniques are used in one treatment session.

  • Manual therapy
  • Joint mobilisation
  • Deep tissue massage
  • Trigger point therapy
  • Ultrasound therapy
  • Acupuncture
  • Posture advice and retraining
  • Exercise and sports advice
  • Stretching exercises and advice
  • Strengthening and core exercises
  • Ergonomic advice
  • Relaxation advice

Home exercises for stretching, strengthening and posture are typically a core aspect of the treatment plan. These will be emailed to clients (with their consent) via our bespoke home exercise rehabilitation program.

It is important for clients to be relaxed and comfortable with all aspects of their treatment. If a client prefers to not have a particular treatment (acupuncture for example), an alternative is used instead.

We assist clients with the management of chronic pain due to conditions such as osteoarthritis, degenerative disc disease, spinal disease, neuralgia, PMRS, headaches, fibromyalgia, and chronic mechanical back pain.

During the initial consultation, a history of the presenting condition will be taken, followed by a physical assessment and a discussion of the the treatment plan. Treatment is incorporated into the initial consultation and only proceeds with the client’s consent.

Due to the challenging nature of chronic pain management, no more than three treatment sessions are advised at the initial consultation. Three sessions are sufficient to ascertain whether treatment is going to be effective. If it is, clients are advised to continue with treatment and increase the interval between appointments, as is appropriate to their symptoms. If there is no benefit after three sessions, there is unlikely to be one, and we advise against continuing with treatment.

  • Initial consultation including treatment £55 (30mins).
  • Follow-up sessions £50 (30mins).

We are registered with all the major private health insurance companies.
